Morvan Gazette is an independent newsletter publication. We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national privacy laws.
2. What data we collect
Email address (required to subscribe). First name and last name (optional). Email interaction data (opens, clicks) for analytics. IP address and browser information for security and fraud prevention. Cookie consent preference (stored locally on your device).
3. How we use your data
To send you our newsletter (with your explicit consent). To improve our content based on engagement analytics. To comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how you interact with our site. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten), withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We retain subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribing, we retain anonymised engagement data for analytics for up to 12 months.

Puzzels, spellen en de lezerscompetitie
Je kunt onze puzzels spelen zonder persoonsgegevens op te geven. Om mee te doen aan de competitie kies je een schermnaam; een e-mailadres is optioneel en wordt alleen gebruikt om je je persoonlijke link te sturen en die terug te halen, nooit voor marketing. Je schermnaam staat alleen in de openbare ranglijst als je dat vakje aanvinkt. Het nieuwsbriefvakje staat nooit vooraf aangevinkt: je wordt alleen ingeschreven als je het zelf aanvinkt. We bewaren je schermnaam, je scores, badges en puzzelvoortgang. Tegen misbruik bewaren we bij elke inzending maximaal 30 dagen een niet-terug te rekenen code van je IP-adres. Je persoonlijke link is een willekeurige code; we bewaren alleen een gehashte versie. Je kunt je schermnaam op je persoonlijke pagina altijd wijzigen en al je spelgegevens verwijderen. Spelers die 24 maanden niet hebben gespeeld, worden automatisch verwijderd. De rechtsgrond is de uitvoering van de dienst die je vraagt (meedoen) en, voor de nieuwsbrief, je toestemming.
